How do we book?
Either e-mail us at info@floridacentralvillas.com or ring or fax us on 0208 786 7797 telling us what dates you would like to book and contact details and we will get right back to you.
What entertainment is provided?
Each house is fitted with cable T.V. to the lounge and Master Bedroom, DVD player and Playstation 2. Either bring your own DVD’s/PS2 games or rent them from the local Blockbuster or buy them cheaply at Walmart!
A pool table and soccer table have also been provided.
Why do the Management Company swipe our credit card for a security deposit?
Some guests query this policy as they say they would never damage a rental property. We know this is normally the case, but accidents do happen and we would hope that you contact the Management Company if you broke or damaged an item. When you depart, our maids clean up the rental and submit a report and any unreported breakages will be applied against this deposit.
Is the pool heated?
It can be. This is only really applicable between November and March when the evening temperature can fall. If you want you pool heated, you should request this at the time of booking. If you arrive and decide to have the pool heated then you must accept that it takes a minimum of 24 hours to heat the pool and you are invoiced from the day it is turned on. Pool Heat - £80 per week
The hot tub / jacuzzi can be used all year round to ease those aching muscles after all the fun of the theme parks & attractions. Heating charge £30 per week.
The Kitchen
The kitchen is fitted with all major appliances and an adequate supply of dishes and cutlery to satisfy the needs of the number of people in the rental.
Vacation rentals are not intended or supplied for the needs of major meals. Please don’t expect items like baking dishes or roasting pans. As we say " just remember that mum’s on holiday too".
How do we locate/enter the property?
About 2 weeks before you depart, we will send you details of how to get to the villa from the airport. We will also send you details of the keybox and house alarm codes.
Do we need to bring towels?
All linen and house towels are provided, but you need to bring your own beach towels.
Are there stores nearby?
At the entrance to Southern Dunes you will find a 24 hour Walmart superstore, 24 hour Pharmacy, Dollar Tree, Winn Dixie & loads of other convenience stores.
Are there restaurants nearby?
Again, at the entrance to Southern Dunes there are a wide variety of Restaurants/Take Aways including Pizza Hut, Taco-Bell, MacDonalds, Burger King, Steak Restaurants, Seafood Restaurants,& lots more.
Our particular local favourites are about 5 minutes away on the I 27. They are Bob Evans and Perkins as they offer fantastic food at very reasonable rates.
What medical services are nearby?
There is a walk in Medical Centre situated next to Walmart’s car park and 5 minutes further along ( turn right from Southern Dunes) you will find the main general hospital.
The pharmacies are great and we have found the assistants to be very helpful and knowledgeable.
Each house also has a direct link to the Fire Dept, Ambulance and Police Dept. on the alarm control panel.
What services are provided?
The villa will be thoroughly cleaned before you start your holiday and a supply of linen and towels left for you. There is a full inventory carried out prior to your arrival which will ensure adequate supplies.
The pool is cleaned and serviced weekly and the gardener comes weekly too cut the grass etc.
Is there a contact for questions /enquiries?
We have a Management Company – AMI Vacation Homes - who will contact you when you arrive and who are on hand 24 hours a day for any problems or queries.
How many people can stay in a villa?
Rental homes are governed by the State of Florida’s Dept. of Hotels. Just like hotels, there is a maximum number of people that you are allowed in each rental. They allow 2 guests per bedroom.
What happens if the extra guests are children who can sleep on the floor?
Florida law is very strict. Between our pool, garden and maid services we know if there are too many guests, plus many of our neighbours are residents and will inform the Management Company accordingly.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, we have to say no as many guests have allergies.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not allowed in the house, but you may smoke on the outside deck area using the ashtrays provided there.
In Florida, you will find that smoking is not allowed in public places such as restaurants and there is a total smoking ban within the airports.
